Luke Bryan rocks for 2011 CMT Music Awards

Luke Bryan was there at the 2011 CMT Music Awards to perform his new hit “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” off his brand new album “Tailgates & Tanlines,” which will be coming on Aug. 9, 2011.This can be Luke’s most successful album since 2007. “Country Girl” is his eleventh single in his career and we thought he pretty much rocked it at the CMT Music Awards. The back up dancers weren’t too shabby either. YOu can see Luke Bryan again on CMT’s “Crossroads” show June 24 with the Doobie Brothers. The two acts will perform hits including “Black Water,” “Long Train Running,” “Country Girl” and “Do I.”

Skype is down now but there is a fix

Skype is currently down! Worldwide users reported that they cannot get their voip client Skype to work. This of course cause a lot of troubles to those who rely a lot on Skype service for doing telecoms and video chatting.

Skype reported it on their twitter problems signing in to Skype and making calls. Luckily a helpful tip from The Next Web provide a temporary fix:

Windows Vista and Windows 7

1.    Close Skype.
a.    Right-click the Skype icon in the system tray (at the bottom right of the screen)
b.    Choose Quit.
2.    Ensure that “Show hidden files and folders” is switched on.
a.    Click Start, type run and press Enter.
b.    Type control folders and click OK.
c.    Select the View tab and ensure relevant entry is enabled.
3.    Locate the shared.xml file.
a.    Click Start, type run and press Enter.
b.    Type %appdata%\skype and click OK.
c.    Delete the shared.xml file.
4.    Restart Skype. The shared.xml file will be recreated.

iPhone Alarm Glitch

iPhone users may by now noticed their is a problem with their alarms set on iPhone when they reach the year 2011. This iPhone’s glitch in iOS 4 software prevents alarms from ringing in 2011. What a Happy New Year from Apple huh?

Apple said the alarms would work today. However, there are reports of malfunctioning alarms in Asia, along with missed flights and late arrivals at work. There is a simple fix to keep your alarms working on iPhone.

All you need to do is set the alarm as recurring.

So instead of a daily alarm set for 7:30, set the alarm for everyday like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for 7:30. Or maybe get yourself a proper alarm clock to wake yourself up.

HTC Thunderbolt

The HTC Thunderbolt being Verizon’s first 4G smartphone may make its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show on 6th Jan. Thunderbolt looks like a slim version of HTC EVO 4G, which is the style HTC has been adopting their working outlooks. The device may be revealed at CES next week, but still may not launch on Verizon for a few months. It would be sweet to see Verizon roll out a LTE mobile phone in early 2011, don’t you think?

HTC Thunderbolt surely looks quite promising and maybe a real threat to iPhone.

Snow Cream Recipe

You must hate the snow lately if it’s causing you all the delays and maybe holiday travel cancellations. We can turn the falling snow into special menu.

This edition is Snow Cream Recipe. There are many different ways and recipes to make snow cream. Here are some recipes that you may refer.

Ingredients

* 1 gallon snow
* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 2 cups milk

Directions

1. When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.

Crystal Harris Playboy Photos

Playboy Playmate Crystal Harris just announced the engagement with Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. Hef is 84 and yes he is marrying Crystal just turning 24.

Crystal Harris was Playmate of the Month in December 2009. Hef became a free man after divorcing wife Kimberley Conrad this year. Not that marriage ever slowed down his dating life. He divorced his first wife, Mildred Williams, in 1959. This Friday, more than half a century later,he tweeted:

After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve. He later explained it clearly on his twitter account, that the ring he gave is an engagement ring and I did not want to make secrecy out of it.

After Christmas Sales

I am sure we are all enjoying Christmas time. Some are more looking forward to the big sale after Christmas. The day after Christmas day is a huge shopping day. Although, the sales may not be as attractive than the pre-Christmas sale, still there are lots of great deals for Boxing Day sale.

You can check the online after Christmas sale on Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. But more importantly:

1. Shop Smart(phone)

Sometimes, you can get caught up in the after Christmas sales rush and not realize that something that looks like a deal really isn’t much of a discount. For this reason, it’s great to have a smartphone with you so you can compare prices and essentially shop around without leaving one store.

2. Arrive Early

The day after Christmas is not Black Friday, so don’t line up at 4 a.m. However, many stores, such as JC Penney, Sears and Target open at 7 a.m., so you might be able to snag a deal while everyone else is snoozing from egg nog.

Is walmart open on christmas 2010

What to know what stores are still open on Christmas day? Most of our favourtie stores like Walmart, Target, Kmart, Old Navy and Toys R Us were opened for Chirstmas eve and many especially extended their opening hours to let you do your last minute Christmas shopping.

Stores will widely be closed as typical on Christmas Day. It’s one of the very few days every year in which nearly all businesses are closed across the country. Of course, this year Christmas falls on a Saturday, only solidifying the day off for many.

Walmart, Target, Kmart, Old Navy and Toys R Us will all be closed Christmas Day this year. However, if you need to make a quick run to the store, Walgreens locations across the country will be open, and many CVS locations will also be open.

Enjoy Christmas and always check before going to your local stores, if you still need something for your Christmas.
